Headline Aged Mother Passes Away
Text Paulina Jane Plummer, widow of the late Dr. J. S. Plummer of this city, died at her home in Cassville Thursday, September 22, 1910, age 71 years and 8 months.

Mrs. Plummer has been an invalid for a number of years and was confined closely to her home. After years of illness her departure came as no surprise to her many friends who often wondered at her remarkable endurance and patient submission to the ills of life.

Paulina Walker Plummer, was born Jan 22, 1839 in Carroll County, Ark., and was an only daughter of Dr. John W. and Louisa B. Walker. When a child her parents settled in Jasper County where she grew to womanhood and was married to J. S. Plummer. They moved to Texas in 1863 and lived there four years, then moved to Barry County where the family has since made its home, first at Washburn and later moving to Cassville. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Jeff of Carthage; John W., of Webb City; Mrs. P. H. Hood of Perryville and Mrs. J. W. Hisey of this city.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at the residence by Rev. Yarbourgh and interment made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Plummer was a member of the Christian Church, a woman of strength of character and amidst her many afflictions was always cheerful and won the love of her associates by her kind and lovable spirit.
