| Text | Monett, Mo., Oct. 8 - Funeral services for August Veith, 73 years old of Monett, route 1, who died Sunday night following a one-year illness will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Mercer funeral chapel. The Rev. Sherman Erickson will officiate and burial will be in Monett I.O.O.F. cemetery.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Nellie Veith; two sons, Elmer Veith of Monett and Alvin Veith, Joplin; a daughter Katherine Veith, Monett; three brothers, John Veith and Louis Veith, Stotts City, and Henry Veith, Verona; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Phlomann, Hobert, Mo., and Mrs. Anna Koennman of Springfield, and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. |
