Four Generations of Long's
The older couple is my gr gr grandparets, George and Sarah Frances (Smith) Long; my gr grandmother, Melvina Caroline "Carrie" (Long) Addington (was later married to Asher Smith from a different Smith family than her mother's Smiths.); and the young girl is my grandmother, Gertrude Addington Haddock and she is holding her first child, Della Haddock who was my dad's sister. George Long was the son of John Dake and Lavina Bellah Long. And Sarah Frances Smith Long was the daughter of Jiles and Sarah Frances (Singleton) Smith. Submitted in 1999 by Donna Cooper |
