Feb. 20, 2020 MO |
Research Note: She is survived by her two children, 3 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. As a youth, she endured the Great Depression, WW II, as a new mother married to Army Air Corps, serviceman, E. J. Kadar. Her devotion to married life, family, and the LDS church remaining thoroughly uncompromised, she managed countless challenges and upheavals of home during dozens of transitions to U.S. States (sometimes multiple times) including, Mississippi, Connecticut, California, Utah, Ohio, even in the mid-60's to the U.S. Pacific Island Territory of American Samoa. There she accepted a request to be Art Instructor at the LDS managed, Mapusaga HS. Having no formal training she embraced it, as she did all challenges, with an adventurous spirit, passion, patience, and an engaging interest and kindness towards all. She remained natural and true whether life found her stooped over gleaning a field crop, tending to bedpans in care facilities or hospital, or, sitting cross-legged on a royal guest mat chatting with the High Chief of Samoa. She had employments with several Adult Care Homes including in Utah in the mid-'60s, and Neosho, MO., late 70's-early '80s. She also worked as a nurse's aide at Payson Hospital (Utah) in the early '70s. With her sister, Mary's progression of dementia, Sophia, made regular visits to her care facility in Verona setting an example for other caregivers. While in her 80's she attended her estranged husband's deathbed massaging his feet daily. | Buchanan Funeral Home Phyllis Long |
