Joseph and Mary Allman

Here are two of my ancestors: Joseph Allman and Mary (Shoe) Allman. They moved from Indiana to Barry County, Missouri before 1870.

Mary died in 1889 in Barry County, and is buried near Fairview in Dice Cemetery. Joseph died in 1902 in Barry County, and is buried beside Mary in Dice Cemetery.

They raised their family in Barry County, and there are still Allmans in the area. Joseph and Mary's children are: Jacob (died young), William, Samuel, Ladora (Dora), George W., Elmer, John Thomas, Jerry and Addy.

William (Will or Willie) owned the grocery store on the main street in Wheaton during the early days and was married to Melisa Highbarger. They had no children. Samuel married Tennesse LNU, and they moved to Oklahoma. Ladora (Dora) married William Ruppert, and they lived in Rocky Comfort and Wheaton. George W. married Florence Gillman and they moved to Kansas City. Elmer married Mary LNU, and he is buried at Muncey Cemetery north of Wheaton. John Thomas (my line) married Nora Elva Utter, and they are buried at Rocky Comfort. Jerry married Alice Crantz and they raised their family in Barry County. Addy remained single, and is buried at Rocky Confort.

I would like to find other Allman descendants.
