Nancy Wickam added: This is John A. Sooter, son of Martin Van Buren Sooter & Sarah McCoy. He was born May 4, 1874 in Barry Co., & died Apr 26, 1949. Buried Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. His wife was Nettie Jane Edens, b. Mar 21, 1875 in Barry Co. & died Sept 22, 1932. Death certificate has burial in New Church Cemetery, in Butterfield. She was the daughter of Wm H. Edens & Mary Jane Martingale. Their son was Virgil Sooter b. 1903.
