On October 15th, 1878, she and W.T. Thompson were married and three children were born to this marriage, who are: Mrs. H. M. Gray of Monett, James M. Thompson of Cassville, and Buford Thompson of Glendora, Cal. She professed faith in Christ early in life and at the time of her death, was a member of the Christian church in Monett. She died at the home of her son James Thompson in Cassville, where she was visiting, Sept. 7, 1923, of pneumonia, aged 64 years, 8 months and 3 days. Surviving are her husband W. T. Thompson and daughter Mrs. H. M. Gray of Monett; and James Thompson of Cassville, and Buford Thompson of Glendora, Cal., seven grand-children, one great-grandchild, one sister Mrs. J.C. Research Note: Connie Thompson, of Monett, MO passed away Friday, December 17 at her home following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was the daughter of George and Bertha Bland in Columbus, Ohio; later moving to Westchester, California with her family as a young child. Connie met the love of her life, Charlie Thompson, while out cruising with friends, and they were married on November 9, 1968, in Westchester, California. During their 53 years of marriage, they were perfect partners, supporting each other's dreams and goals, devoting themselves to their family, and sharing a love of travel. His wife was the informant on the death certificate. - James Elmer Tucker, 79, lifelong resident of the Doss community west of Butterfield, passed away at the Cassville Community Hospital at 8:30 Saturday morning, April 7, after a sickness of sometime. He had been in the hospital for seven days. Mr. Tucker was a son of the late Thomas Benjamin and Mary Frances (Francis Elizabeth Goostree) Tucker and was born January 14, 1877, to attain the age of 79 years, two months, 24 days, and spent his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was one of the county's most highly esteemed citizens, to hold the respect and confidence of all who knew of the great life he lived. Mr. Tucker was married to Miss Lena Davidson of Exeter on June 19, 1898, and she survives. To the union were born four daughters, Mrs. Orme Reams, Mrs. Naomi Davidson, Mrs. Mary Higgs, and Mrs. Elsie Woodward, of Exeter. Four sons, Burl and James A Tucker, Cassville, Tom Tucker, Pasadena, Tx., and Johnny Tucker, Exeter, survive and two sons preceded him in death. Other survivors are 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Three grandsons are serving in the armed forces. He was converted at the age of 19 years at the Mt.
