Allen and Hutchens Family
The mill in Pioneer was run by the Hutchens at one time.
This info was sent to me by Betty Blodgett in 1993. Photo was taken in 1908. Elizabeth Tulbert Hutchens b. 1827 would be 81 years old. Photo of her children and their families. Her children are William Lloyd b. 1847, Charles Evan b. 1849, Rhoda Ann b. 1851, Wilson b. 1854, Mary Jane b. 1856 (Forest’s grandmother), Isaac (Ike) b. 1858, Sarah Elizabeth b. 1860, John Franklin b. 1862 & Lucy Effie b. 1868. 1st row: 1st one could be George or Ted, Esther, Effie, the next #4 - I am not sure of – may be Ted or George, #5 is George L. – the last one on the right is Harry. All of these are uncle Johnny’s children. 2nd Row: 1. William Lloyd, Elizabeth Tulbert Hutchens b. 1827. Charles Evan, lady unknown. 3rd row standing: #5 Walter Allen (hat with bill), James Monroe Black (with black hat), Rhoda (Hutchens) Black, Effie Hutchens, Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Jones. Man with hat back of Rhoda is Wilson, Ed Allen (with hat), John Franklin, man with derby hat to Effie’s right is Rufis Brown with his wife Lucy beside him (Lucy, daughter of Evan) Between them is Isaac "Ike", I think. Mary Hutchens Allen, husband John Robert (J. R.) Allen, Nora Allen Stark and husband Alva Stark. Submitted in 2007 by Alice Allen |
