Research Note: She was daughter of the late Ronald S. Craker and Crystal L. (Miller) (Craker) Mott. She had attended school in Monett and worked for Jumping Jack Shoe Co. Later she owned and operated Joyce's Custom Draperies for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1996. Joyce married Doyle Norris, and to this union one son was born. She later married Joe Daugherty, and to this union three children were born. Then on May 29, 1965 in Mt. Vernon, MO, Joyce and James M. Tidmore were united in marriage. They were blessed with over thirty-six years before his passing on October 10, 2001. He was retired from Jumping-Jacks Shoes in Monett and was an employee of the Monett Special Road District. He attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Monett. He married Joyce Cracker on May 29, 1965, in Mt. Vernon, MO. A neighbor had talked with her at 3:30 p.m. and she was found death by the same neighbor at 5:45 p.m. - Quietly Married at Monett - Miss Ethel Gallemore of this city, but who has been assisting in the bank of Fairland for several months, left that city Saturday night presumably on a visit to home folks in Seneca, went to Monett where she was united in marriage to Louis Tucker at the Catholic parsonage Sunday morning, Father Pendergast officiating. The marriage was somewhat of a surprise to the relatives of the bride in this city as no one knew anything about the affair until after the marriage. The bride is the only daughter of J. H. S. Gallemore and wife who live a few miles northwest of town, and was born and raised in Seneca. She graduated from the public school in 1905, and besides being an accomplished musician has many other qualifications that fit her to become the helpmate to the man she has chosen for a life companion. The groom is an enterprising young fireman on the Frisco with headquarters at Monett. The Hustler editor has known Louis for a number of years and while publisher of the Purdy News, he used to do the rolling act for us on the big hand press. That's where he worked up muscle sufficient to shovel coal for the Frisco. He is an honest, hard working young man and will no doubt make a worthy husband.
