His body was removed to Monett on Jan. 24, 1942. The cause of death was bronchial pneumonia, epilepsy. Research Note: Death certificate gives his birth date as Aug. 2, 1898. WW I Draft Reg. give his birth date as Aug. 17, 1898. He was a student at Drury College in Springfield, MO when he registered in 1918. Father, F. E. Moad of Monett, MO. According to the census he was the son of Fidella "Fred" E. Maod and Belle Basham. He was a life insurance salesman and married. An inquest was held. An autopsy was performed and from the findings, cause of death was toxic fastritis, acute poisoning nature of kind not known at present. Waiting for further analysis. The death certificate gave his father as John E. Moad and mother Martha Belle Moad, which must be incorrect. Rev. C. C. She graduated from Monett High School in 1944. She married Elmus Lewis "Judge" Monroe in September of 1947, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1978. She was a homemaker and retired as Executive Secretary of the Monett Chamber of Commerce after many years of service. Among her many community activities were the PEO Sisterhood, Springfield Little Theater Guild, Southwest Missouri Art Museum Associates and twice a Cub Scout Den Mother. Norma spent many hours helping at The Trunk, as well as at Sue Sebastian's dress shop. Norma was also a member of the Eastern Star, P.E.O., a Monett Garden Club and the P.T.A during her children's school years. On July 22, 1934 in Monett, Norma M. Davis and George Mooney were united in marriage. They were blessed with over sixty-two years together before his passing in 1997. To this union, two children were born. Callaway Funeral Home Records state that his father was Louis Myers and his mother Elnora Smith. He was married. His death certificate states that he was a retired carpenter. Mrs. C. M. Myers, Monett, MO gave the information. The cemetery log book reads that in the old section, in block 4, in lot 2, Y Flag area is where he is buried, there is also a note that reads: 'No Body'. The names of his parents were not given, but it was listed that they were both born in Germany. The cause of death was listed as auricular fibrillation.
