Watson purchased the lot. - Researchers say he was the son of Jesse Beaulieu Alderson and Rachael Woolridge. - July 18, 1908, Saturday, Cassville Democrat - Rev. J. W. Alderson, an old time Christian preacher of this county, aged 88 years, of Monett, was in Cassville last week. We were glad to see him looking so well, and hope he may continue to enjoy good health. - April 17, 1909, Saturday, Cassville Democrat - Rev. James (should be Jesse) Alderson died Saturday morning April 3, 1909, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Riddle of Purdy, aged 92 years. His life was a veteran in the service of his Maker. For 80 odd years he had traveled up and own this earth preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and directed many persons on the pathway to heaven. He had been a minister of the Christian Church for 60 odd years and thousands had listened to him, as he pointed the way to Heaven. The writer had known him since the year 1864, and he was always a good man. Some years ago he resided in the Pasley neighborhood and moved from there to Monett, where he resided until his wife died 2 or 3 years ago and for a time made his home at Purdy, with his daughter. He leaves several daughters and two sons Jasper of Monett and John. The remains were laid to rest at Monett. Allebach of 704 South street, who are now in Newburg, Mo., have received word that their nineteen-year old son, F. E. Allebach, has been seriously wounded in France. He has been in base hospital No. 116 with a flesh wound in the hip, leg broken and pelvis broken, since August 10. He will have to be absolutely quiet for two months or perhaps three and letters from former schoolmates and other friends will help pass the time away for him. Franz was a student in Springfield Normal when he enlisted the month war was declared.
