Research Note: He was the son of the late William A. Mayer and Christine (Clausen) Mayer. Cecil served his country honorably during World War II in the United States Army, being discharged in 1947. From 1950-1962, he had been a railway mail clerk between Monett and St. Louis. He was an active life member of the Monett Lion's Club, serving as club President from 1967-68, a member of the American Legion Post #91, a member of the Monett Chamber of Commerce. He had also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America from 1989-2002. For over forty years, Cecil was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Monett. On April 8, 1973 in Monett, MO, Cecil second married Virginia Ruth Conover. Research Note: Son of the late Walter and Frances (Zak) Nowak. Stanley operated Nowak Refrigeration and Heating Service in Monett for thirty years. He served his country in United States Army and was honorably discharged on Apr. 12, 1957. He was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed fishing. In his spare time, Stanley loved building and creating things in his wood working shop. He was a member the St. John's Lutheran Church. On Apr. 4, 1959 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Monett, Stanley married Darlene Scotvold. They were blessed with two children. Survivors include his wife; a daughter; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; one niece; and two nephews. Research Note: Son of Perry Clay Renfro and Carrie (Bird) Renfro. Four years after he graduated from Greenfield High School, Perry served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on January 27, 1954. In 1956, Perry moved to Monett to raise his family. He had worked as a Barber at a local barber shop during the 1960's. He later had been a truck driver for Tyson Foods. Perry was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, a member of the American Legion Post No. 91 and had served as the McCormick St. John's Cemetery Sexton for many years. On February 16, 1952 in Lockwood, MO, Perry married Ruth Evelyn Massmann. She preceded him in death on February 6, 1999. Research Note: He was the son of the late Hilmer Stellwagen and Irene (Painter) Stellwagen. Following his graduation in 1946 from Monett High School, Paul served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged, Paul furthered his education in Valparaiso, IN. He studied pre-law and later attended SMS in Springfield. As a young man, Paul was District Sales Manager for Swift and Company. In 1961, he opened Paul's Consumer Market. He owned and operated stores in Monett, Cassville and Aurora until 1976. He was a member of the Jaycee's, Kiwanis's Club, the Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Hospital Auxiliary as well as the V.F.W. Post #4207.
