Mary Susan Lee was the daughter of John Austin Lee and Elizabeth (Rhinehart) (Lee) Bruton. John Austin Lee's parents were Samuel Lee and Mary Hackney, who migrated from Blount County, Tennessee to Polk County, Missouri in 1840 and later settled in north Greene County in the Ebenezer - Robberson Prairie area. Their families were among the original members of the Friends community of Newbury monthly meeting, later called Friendsville. "Yreka" Lee was my grandmother's first cousin. I don't know where she got the nickname "Yreka" but I have several original family letters from the 1870's and 1880's where she is mentioned by her nickname. Frank and Yreka Wiley had 9 children, 8 of whom died from pulmonary tuberculosis as young adults, and Frank did as well. After Frank's death Yreka married William S. Research Note: Loyd was was the son of Jess and Lois (Robbins) Williams. He and his three brothers were raised on a farm outside of Crane. He was a graduate of Crane High School in 1960. Loyd married his loving wife, Mary Hartwigsen, in 1961, and they had three children. After working in the industrial industry, Loyd found his true passion in farming. His favorite years were spent running a successful farm on the very farm on which he was raised. Loyd was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, raising mules and a good hound. Through all of his accomplishments, his greatest joy in life was his family. Loyd was a devoted member of the Aurora Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; two sons; one daughter; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews. Nancy Neill was born in Tennessee, Jan. 14, 1840, and came with her parents to Missouri in the fall of 1853. On April 1st, 1857 she was married to Enoch Williams. To this union was born ten children, all living in the immediate vicinity of the old homestead. They are Isaac, Lenard, Thomas, Amos, and Charley Williams, Mrs. Susan Basset and Mrs. Ella Burk, all of Scholten, Dave Williams of McDowell, Mrs. Emma Ellis of Crane and Mrs. Tella Hilton of Leann.
