Research Note: Died from Alzheimer's Disease. His wife was Margaret Cummins. William "Bill" Carr was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts. After he served in the Air Force, he moved to the midwest to complete his college education and become a teacher. It is the midwest where he met Margaret Cummins of Pierce City, Missouri. The pair then married and moved out to California where they both became teachers, bought a home, and settled for the remainder of their careers. Bill and Margaret were lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel the world many times over. They also made frequent trips back to Missouri to visit Margaret's extended family. After retirement they purchased and placed a cabin on the property where Margaret and her sister, Rachel Cummins Frazier grew up. His parents Maro and Bertha (hill) Chapman, sisters Evelyn and (Floyd) Ramsey, Juanita and (Otis) Hayes, and brothers Fred, and Bill and (Willadean) all preceded him in death. Charlie grew up farming and moved his family to Shasta Lake in northern CA, in 1950.
