Research Note: He was the son of Buddie Ernest and Mildred Irene (Henry) Hendrix. Ernest was united in marriage to Olene Rose and they were blessed with two sons and four daughters. He had fifteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Gone on before him were his dad and mom, and four brothers, Clifton, Robert, Kenneth, and Howard. Surviving are three brothers Ralph, Larry and Gary; and two sisters, Betty Banks and Sue Popanz. Ernest attended school at O.K. and Washburn High School. Ernest was saved and baptized at Blue Bend at an early age and was a member of Prairie Hill Baptist Church. He lived on the farm with family. Ernest caught chickens, cut wood, hauled lots of square bales of hay. Together, Ernest and Olene milked cows, mowed, raked and baled hay. They also worked, logging timber, at their sawmill. They also raised chickens and cattle. Ernest also coon hunted and loved riding horses with family and was a member of The Lazy-H-Riding Club. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the family farm west of Washburn. Instead of memorial contributions be given, one thing that Ernest would want would be for each of us to give our heart and soul to Jesus. - Photo of Ernest White Funeral Home
