Research Note: A. J. Henderson is husband of Nancy E. Hedgepeth Henderson. Son of John Henderson, born 1800, and Polly Thomas, born 1790. Her brother, James Thomas, picked her and her 4 children up after the death of John and took them all to Barry Co., MO. Donna's Note: We couldn't see all of the date but it does have July 10 and not 11 on it. - William Cannon Civil War Pension Records: Henderson, Andrew J. - Affidavit given 7th April, 1882-A. J. Henderson -age 50 years - Purdy, County of Barry, Missouri- Has known the soldier since 1857. Deposition given 27th February, 1883- Andrew J. Henderson - age 51 - occupation Farmer and Miller - Post Office Purdy, Barry County, Missouri.- Has known soldier since about 1857 and resided within about 3 miles of him at and before enlistment. Stated that William Cannon led the hymns at church. - Cassville Republican, Jan. 12, 1893 - A. J. Henderson, who owns the Henderson zinc mines near Purdy, reports that prospecting continues at the mines at his place. - September 6, 1894, Cassville Republican - The mystery of the burglary of A. J. Henderson's store at Panacea, some months ago, is supposed to have been solved by the arrest of Oscar Williams, who formerly lived at that place but moved recently on Trent's Creek, west of Washburn. Williams was seen wearing clothes and had traded others stuff that answered the description of the goods lost, and which were identified by Mr. Henderson. - July 18, 1903, Cassville Democrat - Estate of A. J. Henderson, dec'd, demand of Barry Co., Bank for $662.51 allowed in 5th class. - Same Paper - Estate of A. J. Henderson, dec'd; demand of D. L. Mitchell for $1.00 allowed to 2nd class. same of J. R. Sullivan of $1.50 allowed in 5th class. Same of David Marshall for $96.54, allowed in 5th class. Headstones

Research Note: 1st wife of Edmond P. Henderson. Condensed obit for Edmond/Edward: At the age of 29 he was converted in the old Macedonia Church. Later he took up ministry and continued until death. At about the age of 30 he was united in marriage to Susie Dodge. To this union seven children were born, four of who were preceded him in death. The living are: Finis Elmer of Hillcrest, Mo., William David of Pratt, Kan., and John Wesley of Monett, MO. His wife passed away during the latter part of 1892. Edmond is buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with his second wife. Headstone
