Albert Black and Sylvia A. Hall

Left to Right: Albert Black and Sylvia A. Hall, Nettie Hall, and Jerry Laney.

I think it is around 1920, because Jerry and Nettie Married on January 20, 1920. Sylvia and Albert Black married soon there after. I am assuming this is somewhere in Cassville or maybe even Mineral Springs.

I know that Jerry was still caring for his mother, Elizabeth J. Laney. She had been crippled with arthritis for a long time.

Jerry's 1/2 sisters could have been helping him, but I don't know for sure. I do know Jerry's Dad, Archibald McAfee Laney had died in 1914 when Jerry was barely 18.

I'm unsure if Jerry's sisters had been involved in caring for their mother. In the early years of WW1, Jerry had been scheduled to go to boot camp for the service, but several of the men in the area had gone to the judge and spoken up for him saying that he was the sole caretaker of his mom. They were able to have his service deferred.
