She was a daughter of Wallace and Joann (Hawkins) Snook. Her parents are buried at the Rocky Comfort Cemetery. There were 8 children living at the death of her mother, Joann Hawkins Snook. Sister of Rosetta "Rosey" Cole (Died Jan. 9, 1990), Hattie Belle Cole (Died Jan. 10, 1994), Geneva Wright, and John F. Snook (Died Aug. of 1993.) Maternal Grandparents: Monroe and Mary (Rice) Hawkins. Paternal Grandparents: William and Sarah (Feders) Snook. - Phyllis' note: After the death of Cull, Della moved to town in Washburn to a brand new home on Hwy 90. I cleaned house for her in her last couple of years. She would rather I talk than clean. One day she asked if I would go across the street to the grocery store. I asked what she needed and I think she kind of hated to tell me, but she wanted some snuff. Said the kids didn't like her to have it, but I figured if it hadn't hurt her at her age, it wasn't going to do any damage now. She was the sweetest lady you would ever want to know. I sure missed going to her home. She fell outside and broke her hip and went to the nursing home in Cassville for her last days. Note

Research Note: Row 5, Grave 35. - Son of Thomas Jefferson Creason and Rebecca Elizabeth Stamps. His wife was Helen Louise Brewer, born 1917 in Newton Co., MO and died 1978 in Miami, Ottawa Co., OK. Buried in Cherokee Co., KS. - Posted at Findagrave.com: Everyone loved to go to Papa's house for the weekend. He would come and pick the five of us up early Saturday morning and since he was a bachelor we would head for a cafe or the local hamburger joint and he would buy a bag of hamburgers. Then it was off to the gas station that was across the railroad tracks from his house to buy a case of pop and a bag of candy. The burgers, pop, and candy was just to get Saturday started off. We always had to get more nutrition???? as Saturday went on. Once we were at his house and had eaten, there was always plenty to do so we never were bored. We would build forts out of his firewood, go on nature walks all over Blue Mound just outside of his back yard. If all else failed he would drag out a big bag of nails and some hammers and let us drive nails into the trees, or his old storage buildings, just not his house. Sometimes instead of the nails he would load us all up and we would head for Shemmerhorn Park for the wading pool. After a full day Saturday evening, he would return us girls home. We couldn't stay the night since he had an old out house and he couldn't go with us. Then Sunday's we would usually go for a long, long, long, truck ride (this was the days when you could ride in the bed of the truck). Needless to say as we got older the word got out about how fun it was at Papa's, so our friends wanted to go, and they did! Only now he had us five grand kids, our friends, and our bikes. He must of had the patience of Job. I wish our kids could have known him, they would have loved him as much as we did!!!! I still miss you Papa. Headstone

Mary's Note: Stephen Mullins was the spouse of Ruby Pearl Day. His parents were Elijah Brownlow Mullins and Nancy Jane Shockley. - Cassville Republican, June 20, 1918 - Circuit Court Docket, Cases Set For Four Days. Very Few Cases on Civil and Criminal Docket To Be Tried: State vs. Steve Mullins, grand larceny. - Notes from Jan England: Steven Lafayette was called Fate. He is the father of the famous song writer Johnny Mullins. The grand larceny case is because Fate and my great grandfather John Russell "Russ" May, stole a calf or maybe 2, I can't remember. They were charged with cattle rustling. Russ went to the penn and Fate was given the option of the penn or the army. He chose the army. He was only 17 at the time. My dad always said his grandpa Russ got caught intentional for the cattle rustling cause he was a very smart man who never seemed to work but always had a little money in his pockets. He took the hides to the store in Exeter to sell. The brand was still on them. But times were hard and while Russ was in the penn the state had to take care of his family. - Judy Jean (Shockley) Roller's Notes: Steven was the son of Elijah B. Mullins and Pearl Day. They had 4 children: Lester, Hester, Ruth and John. - Cassville Republican, June 12, 1919 - Licenses to Wed: Steve Mullins, 23, Exeter and Pearl Day, 17, Washburn. Death Certificate
