Research Note: Son of Andrew James and Lena (Wilson) Bowsher, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were all 14 of his siblings. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jay attended school at Oak Grove School near Cassville. He owned and operated a painting company for over 50 years. Jay enjoyed playing music and going to Silver Dollar City during the music festival where he both played and listened to music. Carey's Child Dies of Scarlet Fever: A 4 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Carey of this city died Sunday of scarlet fever. Sad to see a sweet young life snatched away to eternity, but her troubles are over and she is basking in that sweet spirit land where little angels dwell and shout sweet hosannas forever. Rev.
