SSW: Mildred Bennett - Research Note: Wallace was born April 30, 1921, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Larry L. and Mariska (Maize) Rerick. He was raised in Cleveland and was a 1938 graduate of the West Tech High School. Following graduation he entered the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, OK, graduating in 1941. In July of 1943 he married Ruth Youmans in Saginaw, MI, and she preceded him in death in January 1978. For a brief time he served as a civilian pilot before entering the US military. Wallace served in the US Air Force for over 22 years, as both a pilot and weatherman, retiring in 1964. In 1966 he began employment at the former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base near Marquette, MI, as the civilian airport manager through the Civil Service program. He retired from that position in January of 1980. On January 6, 1983 he married Mildred L. SSW: Caldonia J. - Research Note: Josephus Rogers died at his home in the Cross Hollows locality November 24, 1918, of malaria fever, at the age of 45 years, 1 month and 9 days. He had been sick for several weeks. Sampson Walter Josephus Rogers, was born Oct. 15, 1873 in Barry county, Missouri. When but a child with his parents he moved to Carroll county, Arkansas. At the age of 15 he professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church at New Home, Arkansas and had been a faithful servant in the work of the Lord since. At the age of 23 he was united in marriage to Miss Caldona Jane Riddle of near Butterfield. To this union were born five children, four of who are living. The oldest child Fredia R. Rogers died May 18, 1897. Terry was a reputable American Kennel Club breeder, and his heeler dogs are known far and wide for their excellence. His dogs were a great source of joy in his life, and he would run them daily. Bill started his career at North American Aviation (Rocketdyne) in Neosho in 1956. In 1961, he partnered with Glen Garrett to start G and R Industries. In 1976, Bill took over full ownership to start R.M. Industries in Purdy. He founded Little Flat Creek Ranch in McDowell in 2000. He became an outfitting partner with Catch-A-Dream Foundation in 2004 which provides once-in-a-lifetime fishing and hunting adventures for children with life threatening illnesses. His age was 80 years, six months and two days. He was born Aug. 16, 1855, near Calhoun, TN, moved to Barry Co, MO in 1874 and has lived in and around Purdy for 52 years. At the age of 26 years he married Isabelle Hemphill at Calhoun, TN. To this union four children were born, of which three survive: Arthur Boyd and Thomas Neil of Purdy, Mrs. Myrtle Belle Bradley of Cassville, MO. Etta deceased in infancy. The wife deceased in 1889. In the year 1891 he was married to Adelia G. Liner of Brightwater, AR. To this union twelve children were born, of which eleven survive. Herbert Edward deceased in infancy.
