Joseph Milton O'Neal enlisted 15 Sept 1864, Co. D., 12th Missouri Cavalry (Union Army, Civil War). Captured at Campbellville, Tennessee, 24 Nov 1864. Sent to Andersonville Prison, GA. Released at end of war. Discharged at Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri, on 29 May 1865. Farmed 80 acres in Atchison County, Missouri. Born in Johnson County, Indiana. Photo taken about 1890.
