ALBERT RUFUS PARKER was born near Rock Port, in Atchison Co., Missouri on Sept. 12, 1869, the son of Harrison T. and Elizabeth Parker. Eleven years later, the 1880 census finds them living near Phelps City, in Atchison Co., Mo.
Sometime before 1893 Albert moved across the Missouri river to Johnson County, Nebraska where he met Migno Maude Beatty, daughter of Alvin Perry and Zerrildia Beatty. They were married on September 5, 1893 at the home of the bride in Filley, Johnson County, Nebraska.
Albert and Maude had 6 children; (1) Roland Albert, b: Nov. 5, 1894, d: May, 1964, m: (4 or 5 times) last wife, Ann; (2) Verna Mable, b: Mar. 20, 1896, d: Jan. 10, 1973, m: Earl J. Johnson, Feb. 2, 1920; (3) Jessie Clyde, b: Feb. 23, 1898; d: Nov. 4, 1993, m: Ruth Rector, Jan. 5, 1924; (4) Kada Mildred, b: Sep. 22, 1899, d: Mar. 10, 2002, m: Jack McCaleb, Sep. 4, 1925; (5) ALBERTA MAUDE, b: Apr. 3, 1904, d: Aug. 1, 1995, m: Homer C. Johnson, Feb. 13, 1932; (6) Madge Alma, b: Sep. 16, 1907, m: William "Bill" English, Feb. 14, 1930.
The 1900 census places Albert and his family in Wellington, Sumner Co., Kansas. His parents and Everett Brown were living with them. On the 1910 census they were all living on a farm in Sumner County, Kansas near Mayfield and Perth. In 1914 Albert and Maude moved their family from Kansas to Oklahoma City, OK.

Albert Rufus Parker died on October 7, 1945 in Wellington, Kansas while traveling home on the train from Michigan. He and his wife Maude, are buried in Memorial Park cemetery, in Okla. City.
