Geer, Mary Kenner - Mrs Mary Kenner Geer Dies; Funeral Tuesday

Mrs Mary Jane Kenner Geer, 85 years old, died at midnight Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Edna E. Utter, 122 South Buchanan street after a long illness. She was married to Enoch W. Geer August 3, 1884, in St Genevieve county, Mo. Mr Geer died in 1916. She has been a resident of Maryville since September 1936.

She was born April 20, 1859, in St Genevieve county, the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Hous- and [?] Kenner. She graduated from Culeton College, Farmington, Mo. Mrs Geer was a member of the First Baptist church.

Besides her daughter, Mrs Utter, she is survived by a granddaughter, Miss Betty Utter, Kansas City, Mo; and one brother, Dr Edwin B. Kenner, Wentzville, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Campbell funeral home with Dr A. C. Kruer, officiating.

Barger, William - WILLIAM BARGER DIED LAST NIGHT

William Barger, farmer all of his life, died at 9:30 o'clock Friday night at his home three miles west of Ravenwood, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Price funeral home, conducted by the Rev Eddie Carrow and burial will be in the Center Grove cemetery north of Tarkio.

Born Sept 18, 1880 on a farm north of Tarkio, Mr Barger had lived on the home farm of his father until seven years ago when he moved to the home where he died. He was married Jan 4, 1927 at Mound City, to Gae Macrander, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Dan, of the U.S. Army; Isaac and Carroll of the home; two daughters, Lucy and Betheen of the home; three sisters, Mrs Susie Bentley, Westboro, Mo; Mrs Clayton Scott, Tarkio and Miss Pansy Barger, Fulton, Mo; four nieces and one nephews. Bays, Ora Etta Long - died in accident [excerpt]

Mrs Bays, who came to Skidmore two years ago, was born at Jerico Springs, Mo., May 12, 1888. She was married to Ernest Mays [sic] at Stockton, Mo., on November 18, 1903.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs Henry Hackett, Powell, Wyo; and Mrs Jessie Wallace, St Paul, Minn; and five sons, Jay, Randolph, Iowa; Artie, Skidmore; Arley, Tarkio; and James and Bobbie, both of Skidmore.

Services will be held at the Campbell Funeral home Friday at 2 o'clock, with burial at the Prairie Hill cemetery, four miles east of Tarkio. The Rev L.B. Day will officiate.

She was the daughter of Dan Long and Mrs Mary Cole Long. Her mother also survives her, living at El Dorado, Mo.

Also surviving are three brothers, Cecil, Gashland, Mo; Clarence, Jerico Springs, Mo; and Fred, Republic of Mexico; two sisters, Mrs Denzil Stone, Lamar, Mo; and Miss Jessie Long, Sioux City, Ia; an aunt, Mrs Joe Potter, Burlington Junction; and 14 grandchildren. Moody, Emma Janet Walter - MOODY RITES HELD TODAY, Native of Burlington Junction is Buried in Cemetery Near Tarkio.

Funeral services for Mrs Frank Moody of Rock Port were conducted at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the funeral home in Rock Port. Burial was in the Prairie Hill cemetery near Tarkio.

Mrs Moody died Monday evening at a nursing home in Oregon after an illness of a year. She was born December 14, 1882, in Burlington Junction and was the daughter of James T. and Ida Walter.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs Vane Herman, Westboro, and Mrs Otto Sutur, Rock Port; a son, John Moody, Rock Port; four sisters, Mrs Harlie? Cassel and Mrs A.W. Asbell, Burlington Junction; Mrs Bertha Britton and Mrs Ada Boatwright, Vancouver, Wash; a brother Claud Walter, Sale City, Ga, and six grandchildren.
