Palm, Arnold Dean - Arnold Dean Palm, son of Gustav and Augusta (Erdman) Palm, was born April 9, 1927 in Langdon, Missouri and passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, after a short illness. Peregrine, Harold Lee, the son of Leemon Oscar and Ruth (Jeffries) Peregrine was born September 7, 1933 in Holton, Kansas. His childhood was spent on the farm while he attended country school in Westboro, Missouri and Oregon, Missouri. On August 13, 1951 Harold was united in marriage to Dorothy Maxine Moore at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Forest City, Missouri. They made their home in St. Joseph, Missouri until 1952 when they moved to a farm in Elmo, Missouri. They later moved to Rea and Whitesville, Missouri and in 1959 back to the Tarkio and Westboro, Missouri areas, where they farmed until 1980 when Harold injured his back and was forced to retire. In 1981 they moved into Tarkio where they lived to the present time. In 1987 they began spending the winter months in Texas where they made many good friends. Harold enjoyed his friends and many family members in the Tarkio area. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Good Sam Camping Club and the Missouri Farm Bureau. Harold passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri at the age of 73 years. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home in Tarkio; three daughters, Evelyn Gardner and husband Mike, Shenandoah, Iowa, Marjorie Delfelder, Lawrence Kansas, Catherine Driskell and husband Roy, Maryville; four sons, Gerald Peregrine and wife Linda, Westboro, Michael Peregrine and wife Darla, Coin, Iowa, Dennis Peregrine and wife Sherry, Westboro, and Harold Lee Peregrine, Jr. and wife Yolanda, St. Joseph, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Peregrine and wife Vera, St. Joseph and Leemon Eugene Peregrine and wife Mae, Roseville, California; three sisters, Florence Means and husband Larry, Aurora, Colorado, Ruth Ann Miller and husband Rodney, Council Bluffs, Iowa and Barbara Braley and husband Shane, Viera, Florida. Perry, Genie Kayann Parsons, the daughter of Everett Eugene Parsons and Ruby Darlene Lambert, was born September 19, 1965, in Houston, Missouri. She graduated from Murray High School in Murray, Kentucky, in 1983. On November 2, 1989, Genie was united in marriage to Don Perry and they made their home in Tarkio. Genie was a stay-at-home mom, spending her days taking care of their sons, Shawn, Mitchell, and Martin. They were later divorced.

Perry, Mark, Mrs - Word was received here Monday evening, telling of the serious burning of Mrs Mark Perry, of Detroit, Michigan. Mrs Perry was a sister of Mesdames Roy Carpenter and Harmon Harmes, of Hamburg, and a daughter of Mr and Mrs D.W. Airy, of Watson. Mrs Airy and her daughters left for Detroit at once, and a few hours after they left by auto, word was received here to the effect that Mrs Perry had died. Mrs Perry's clothing caught fire as she was attempting to clean some garments with gasoline. The body was to be brought back here and funeral services were to be held at High Creek on Friday morning. Perry, Ralph Oliver, the son of Clyde O and Stella (Lytle) Perry, was born January 20, 1924 in Hamburg, Iowa. He attended the High Creek Country School near Watson, Missouri until the eighth grade. He was soon employed by Glen Moore running a corn sheller. On January 25, 1943, Ralph entered the United States Army and served his country during World War II. On August 14, 1945, Ralph was united in marriage to Esther Marie Davis in Hamburg. They lived in the Rock Port, Missouri and Langdon Missouri communities. Ralph owned and operated Perry and Schomburg custom trucking, farming and corn shelling business with his brother-in-law George Schomburg. In 1969 Ralph and Esther purchased Long's Liquor which became Perry's Tobacco and Grocery. They retired in 1994 following twenty five years in the business. Ralph passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port at the age of 83 years. Ralph was a member of the Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49, Rock Port. Survivors include his wife Esther of the home Rock Port; one daughter Viola Fern Hendrickson, Edmond, Oklahoma; one granddaughter and her husband, Dr. Stephania Gayle and Terry Knight, Rochester, Minnesota, one grandson Brian Scott Hendrickson, Bolingbrook, Illinois and family friend Carmine Castaldo; three sisters, Dora Hatcher, Rock Port and Edna Brown and Mildred Ferguson, both of Tarkio, Missouri, and one brother Ora Perry, Rock Port. Peterson, Patricia Lane Sipes - Patricia Lane (Sipes) Peterson, the daughter of Lynn and Marie (Green) Sipes, was born December 13, 1942, in Oregon, Missouri. She attended school in Forest City, Missouri, and Mound City, Missouri. Pat was united in marriage to Lowell McKenzie, who preceded her in death in 1971. In 1973, Pat was united in marriage to Dr. S. J. Peterson, who preceded her in death in 1982. In 1999, Pat met her life partner, William Faraone. Pat was a homemaker and a deep tissue therapist. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, learning, and caring for people. Pat was the life president of the Morning Sun Club, Tarkio, Missouri, and past president of Fairfax Sorosis. She was also past president of the Centerview Club, and current president of the Centerview Social Club, both of Tarkio. Pat passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 66 years. Besides her husbands, Pat was preceded in death by her sons, Stephan McKenzie, Scott Peterson and Eric Peterson; and her brother, Kenny Sipes. She is survived by her son, Brian Peterson and his wife, Lisa, Oak Grove, Missouri; grandchildren, Lauren Peterson, Nakita Peterson, Shelby Findley, Richard Bolton, and Veronica Bolton; parents, Lynn and Marie Sipes, Oregon; sister, Marie Wright and her husband, Larry, Craig, Missouri; brothers, Larry Sipes and his wife, Phyllis, Forest City, and Jim Sipes and his wife, Diane, Rosendale, Missouri; life partner, William Faraone, Fairfax; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pollock, Clara Lucille Brooks. She was born October 28, 1906, near Hamburg,
Iowa, to W. F. and Margaret (Woolsey) Brooks. She graduated from high
school in Tarkio, Missouri. Clara was a member of the United Methodist
Church, Burlington Junction, Missouri. She married Virgil P. Pollock March 9, 1927, at Rock Port, Missouri and he preceded her in death. Clara worked as a receptionist for Dr. Byland and Dr. Wempe in Maryville for 25 years before her retirement. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Brown, Maryville, Missouri and two cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorial services will be held Tuesday afternoon, November 9, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at the Barr-Merrick Funeral Chapel, Burlington Junction, Missouri. Price, Susan Cordelia Shinabargar – Funeral services were held at 2 pm Friday, May 6, 1994, at the Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Missouri, for Susan Cordelia Price of Tarkio. Reverend Sharon Lodygowski officiated. Interment was made in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Fairfax under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home of Fairfax. Susan Cordelia Price, age 89, formerly of Fairfax, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at Community Care of America at Tarkio. She was born near Arkoe, Missouri, in rural Nodaway County to Mette Belle (Sexton) and Joseph E. Shinabargar. She spent her entire life in northwest Missouri, attending schools in Nodaway County. In 1942, Cordelia married Walter F. Price at Fairfax. They resided in Fairfax. Walter passed away in 1966. Susan moved to the care center in Tarkio in 1985. Cordelia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fairfax. Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Church in Fairfax. Survivors include: three daughters, Clara Lankford, Longview, Texas, Ruth Rother, Craig, Missouri, and Sarah Van Meter, Rock Port, Missouri; one son, wm. (Bill) J. Pursell, John Leland, the son of Russell Herald and Ruth (Horne) Pursell, was born August 5, 1927 in Tarkio, Missouri. He attended Tarkio Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1947. In 1945, John enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during World War II. He retired from the Naval Reserve in 1980, after 35 years of service. John was also employed as a Cost Estimator for the Paint -A-Line Co. of Washington, retiring in 1987. In November, 1947, John was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Shineman. They became the proud parents of three daughters, Connie, Marcia and Cheryl. They were later divorced. On November 29, 1980, John was united in marriage to Ruthey C. French in Seattle, Washington. They made their home in the Greater Seattle area until 1993 when they moved back to Tarkio where they lived to the present time. John passed away May 13, 2008 at Northview Manor Nursing Home in Tarkio at the age of 80 years. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Seattle and a former member of the Elks Club. John is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ruthey of the home in Tarkio; daughters, Connie Pursell, Seattle; Marcia Rier, Bothwell, Washington, Cheryl Meeteer and her husband Joel, Chicago, Illinois; six stepchildren, George Williams, Tina Simmons, Teresa Morris, Brett Annear, Brenda Rodrick, Glenda Lee; one grandson, Travis Leland Pursell; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Katie Brown; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Alice Beverly Watkins and her husband Jack, Orlando, Florida.
